Ender 3 S1 Pro: Most Common Problems & Fixes
The S1 Pro's Sprite extruder and CR Touch probe are meaningful upgrades over the base Ender 3, but each has its own well-known failure pattern.
Sprite extruder clogging
The compact all-metal Sprite direct-drive extruder runs hot close to the drive gears and is a frequently reported source of clogs, especially with inconsistent filament or a miscalibrated nozzle temp. Do regular cold pulls, keep temperature calibrated to your specific filament, and confirm the heat-break cooling fan is actually spinning — a stalled fan here is a common root cause.

The CR Touch probe can give inconsistent trigger heights if the pin is dirty or slightly bent. Clean the probe tip, confirm it deploys and retracts freely, and recalibrate Z-offset after any adjustment to the probe.
