Nylon (PA) Print Settings and Common Problems
Nylon (PA) is strong and durable, but it's also the most moisture-sensitive material on this list by a wide margin. If you're having any quality issue with nylon at all, check drying before touching a single slicer setting.

Nylon absorbs atmospheric moisture faster than almost any other filament — sometimes within hours of being unsealed. Dry it before every print, and for long prints, consider feeding directly from a heated dry box rather than relying on pre-drying alone.
Common problems
Popping or crackling sounds while printing
This is trapped moisture flash-boiling into steam as it hits the hot end — an unmistakable sign the filament needs drying, not a hardware problem. Dry the spool for several hours at the manufacturer's recommended temperature before trying again.
Stringing and oozing
Wet nylon strings dramatically more than properly dried nylon at the same settings. Before adjusting retraction or temperature, dry the filament first — it's the more likely fix.

Nylon doesn't stick well to standard surfaces without help. A dedicated nylon-safe adhesive, PVA-based glue stick, or a specific nylon bed surface makes a bigger difference here than on any other material on this list.
