PLA Print Settings and Common Problems
PLA is the most forgiving material to print with — minimal warping, no enclosure needed, and a wide margin for error on settings. Most PLA problems trace back to cooling or speed rather than the material itself.

Unlike most other materials, PLA wants aggressive part cooling — run the cooling fan near 100% after the first couple of layers. This is the opposite of ABS/ASA/PC, which need minimal cooling to avoid layer separation.
Common problems
Stringing at higher temperatures
PLA strings less than most materials, but pushing nozzle temperature toward the top of its range still noticeably increases oozing. Drop toward the lower end of the 190-220°C range if you're seeing strings.

PLA solidifies quickly with enough airflow — if overhangs or bridges look saggy, cooling fan speed is almost always the first thing to check, more so than temperature.
Brittleness in load-bearing parts
Standard PLA isn't a great choice for anything under real mechanical stress. If a PLA part keeps cracking under load, that's a material choice issue, not a settings one — consider PETG for functional parts.
